God can be real if you choose to believe in Him. In english, He is a He because the word It carries a somewhat negative meaning, and becuase of the male-centred society existing in Britain when the word and concept of God was adopted.
As for Him becoming, if you believe in Him, than He would have to be ever-existing. Read the Quran's Sura-tul-Ahad for further information.
I personally have a belief that God is more an ever-binding omni-present force than He is a discrete thing. I.e: closer to electricity, which we cant touch, feel or usually see, than a statue.

God is God and regarded as male and real if that is your God concept. Under this God concept there was no point in time that God came into being, he simply exists but the universe itself could not simply exist without him. There are many God concepts besides that one, though most have the same issues.
Some consider it an intellegience or potential inherant to the universe at the dawn of time. In that case God has no form or gender but is rather a force and intelligience within the existence of things.
Others would say God is made by man, a figment of the mind and nothing more. You can ask this question anyway you want but you're the only one that can answer it.

There are four questions here.
1) Is God real? 2) If so, how did he become?
3) Why is his name God? 4) Why is he a he?
Answer to 1) and 4) go together.
God is not real in a semantic sense; because the word god simply means an object of worship. The eternal spirit could only be god potentially as no one existed to worship him.
Answer to 2) and 4)
God, as eternal spirit and first cause, became God with the creation of man. Man is also a generic term. In the spirit creation, both the woman and man responded to the name Adam. It was Adam, not God, who named the woman Eve after they were made living souls in flesh and cast from the garden. This is the real reason that a woman takes the husbands name at marriage.
The God of Isreal is He because He references himself as masculine, as having created Adam in His image, as a Father to His children. In coming to earth He took on the form of a man in the flesh.
While the woman was co-equal in the spirit creation, she was not placed co-equal in the physical realm. She was a part of Adams core but was removed from Adam and made a totally separate creation.
In summary. Is god real? Every god is real.
The eternal spirit became God upon creation.
His name is not god. " I am the Lord your God, thou shalt have no other Gods before me." We know that the Lord is the only living God. But we have to say the only true God, because there are so many other things that men worship.
As to being masculine. The Lord refers to the church as His bride. It was the female set aside, deceived, seduced, and cast out that He died for. He became the Second Adam for She is the true object of His salvation. Those are a few reasons why the Lord God is a He; and why He took on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God does have many and precious female aspects. He created a woman to reflect the man. One of His names in the Old Testament can be translated "The breasted one." The female breasts are the types of spiritual hope and faith. Despite the female aspects, the Lord never refers to Himself as she.

Is God real? Yes.
How did He become? You are assuming that everything that exists had to have a beginning. I'm not sure that is a fair assumption.
Why is His name God? "God" is a word in the English language that is used to identify deity. In other languages, other words are used. That just happens to be the English term.
Why is He a He? In the Bible, He identifies Himself as Father. So He chose to identify Himself in that way. Since He is God, I say we let Him.

Yes God is real. He was not created but is the Creator. Our minds only know a beginning and an end so to try and comprehend God as not being created is uncromprehendable because God created time, He created begginings and that is impossible, in our earthly minds, to fully understand but with faith we believe.
He is the Alpha and Omega, the beggining and the end.

His name is Yahweh, and he has just always existed. If you go back infinitely in time, thinking of where things were created from, there has to be some sort of beginning...it is God. He's a he just because he is. Don't think that he doesn't have feminine qualities as well though. Men and women are both created in His image.

THUS FAR IN OUR SCIENTIFIC SEARCH FOR THE CREATION OF ALL THINGS THERE HAS ONLY BEEN THEORIES. THUS GOD EXISTS IN THE MINDS OF THE PEOPLE TO EXPLAIN THE UNEXPLAINABLE. LET US GO BACK IN TIME WITH THE ROMANS AND THE GREEKS; THEY MADE UP MANY GODS IN ORDER TO EXPLAIN WHAT THEY DID NOT KNOW. NOW, OF COURSE, WE KNOW WHAT THE SUN REALLY IS, AND THAT APOLLO IS NOT THE GOD OF IT, SO WE ELIMINATED THOSE GODS. SINCE SCIENCE CAN NOT FIND AN EXPLANATION THAT THIS "GOD" EXISTS.
HIS NAME IS NOT GOD; IT IS MERELY AN ENGLISH WORD REFFERING TO A DEITY.
HE IS A ‘HE’ BECAUSE HE REFERS TO HIMSELF AS "FATHER".

I believe that yes, God is real, and He is inheritly non-gender specific. It's just how the Bible refers to Him. But "God" is not His only name. He is called Jehovah, Allah, and various other names in various cultures, especially by His one, true name: Yahweh. Never say it outloud. It's too sacred.

God just was, and He is. He exists to those who believe in Him. God is something that you worship, hence the name God. God can be whatever you want Him to be, male, female. You just need to believe in order to have eternal life. Salvation is priceless. Anyone can get it.

Because a bunch of men decided god was god and male.
God is real if you want god to be real.
There are no real answers to this question - they don't exist.
