The most accurate way to know when you ovulate is by charting your signs of fertility. Forget the online calendars--they only give you *average* information, not information about *you*.
The short version is that you check your vaginal opening for cervical fluid. When you have wet fluid, you are fertile. When you have very wet, clear, and stretchy, you are very fertile.
You can also tell when you have ovulated (and it's *too late* to get pregnant this cycle) by checking your basal body temperature. You need to take your temperature every morning when you wake up (at about the same time every day...but *not* at 4 am as one person constantly suggests!!). When it is several tenths of a degree higher than the last few temperatures, you have ovulated.
However, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It has detailed information about all of the above.

well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

That's not dumb at all, if you are serious about trying then read this book it is called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by: Tony Weshler. I have been trying for 9 months and I also had luck once but failed. The book has given me a lot of seemingly helpful info. Check out www.fertilityfriend.com too Goodluck

Im not sure how you can tell if you dont have regular periods. If you do have regular periods you have sex the 13,15,17th day, counting from the last day of your period. And it does wrk. it worked for me the first month. But before you do anything you might want to go to your gyno. just to make sure your ok and healthy. Its not normal for you not to have a period every month. I hope everything works out for you. I hope you are healthy and you get pregnant very soon . So good luck I wish the best for you!!!!

You could maybe try those?? They have a website where you can check it out. Good luck and I hope to hear that you are pregnant soon.

there is a test out now that works just like a pregnancy test, but it tells when you are ovulating..you begin to ovulate 14 days after your menstrual. that probably doesnt help much if you are not regular..maybe you should talk to your doctor, they may be able to prescribe something to regulate ovulation.. hope everything works out for you...

I had the same problem to the first day you see blood that is day one no matter how late in the day it may be on days 5-10 is your best bet have sex every other day to give you man time to raise his sperm count up if you have sex every day he will have not that many sperm as if you have waited and after sex stay on your back with a pillow under your your back so everything goes with gravity for 15mins. and if that does not work after 6mons. or so ask your ob to run die in your tubes to see if you have a blocked tubed and he might but you on meds. i was on clomied and had and i now have a boy 4 and with my little girl we was lucky got Peg. on the first time she is now 21mons. so i have been there and know your pain so good luck and have fun

The best way to figure out when you are ovulating is to learn the subtle cues your body gives you when your about to ovulate such as increased amounts of fertile cervical mucus. Check out this book, it has been my TTC bible.
