I love mine but wish she would disappear she a drunk who calls all the time for nothing slurring her words.

i don't care to much for her but i have to keep telling myself that
it is his mom and i have to put up with alot of stuff from her bcuz
of my husband bcuz i love him that much the reason i don't care
much for her is bcuz she never really raised him but now that he
is grown with a family of his own now she wants to have something to do with him but most of the time she usually wants
something from him(money)

I adore my mother in law. She treats me a like a queen and raised a great son who is now a great husband and father.
We're at 10 years now and it keeps getting better and better!
My husband and I hit a minor rough patch. She could tell I was down and took me out for lunch. I kind of broke down and cried. She emailed him and told him he needed to send me flowers and bring me home chocolates. And honestly, people, he didn't do anything majorly wrong. In fact, I have no idea what was bothering me. Not many MIL's would do that.

I am sorry to hear about your MIL. I absolutely love my fiance's mom and family. They are awesome and have embraced me as part of the family. :) She doesn't call all the time to 'bug' us and loves it when we get the time to go and see her (my fiance works on a farm, working 10-16 hours a day, 6-7 days a week).

Yikes. Drunk or not, always be polite, then get rid of her. You cannot change the fact that she is your husband's/partner's mother. Deal with it somehow.

i love my mother in law! she is great and we get along great. just remember. you didnt marry her so dont get to worked up about things she says and does

when i first got married i absolutely loved her.....and it went down hill from there.....7 years later we communicate only by email :(
