Ive seen mares having babies into thier 20's. But it can be very dificult and can kill them.

Many mares can breed up until 20-22 or later. However the risks each year are high for some mares. If a mare ruptures she can be gone all too quickly and there is nothing that can be done to save her. Lady's Secret was one this happened to. Some mares colic after foaling.

I would not breed after 14 to 15, but some breeders breed up unitl 16 or 17. The older the mare, tho, the harder on her it is. Then it is harder to keep weight on an older mom too.

horses can give birth all their lives, but it is not recommended. I would say anything over 18-20 is cruel

if i were you i would stop @ around the years of 20's and 30's
