I think anything can be dangerous in the wrong hands. It's not the website that is bad, it's the naivety of the teenagers that post too much information on it.

MySpace.com is like most other websites. It is neither good or bad. It's a tool. It's how it's being used that determines whether it's a good website or not. Personally, I have nothing but good times at the website. I've met with a lot of interesting people, all of them at or above the age of consent. Some are models and actresses. Some are writers and dreamers. Some are...just like me. To say or believe that the site is nothing but a holding cell for pedophiles and freaks is doing a disservice to the site and the Internet at large. I can't say that my experience on MySpace.com hasn't been completely without fault (both of my own doing and by others), but I can vouch for its honesty and well-meaning.

Absolutely not. it is how a very few people use myspace that trashed its reputation. When AIM came out, the same reaction came from the same sorts of narrow minded self righteous people. Before that, it was email. So what have we learned? Myspace is alright providing the people on myspace tell the truth and follow simple common sense practices, such as never travel to the Middle East to be with the on line boyfriend you met on myspace.
BTW, it is no more or less dangerous than AIM, AOL chat rooms, and Yahoo 360.

The site is not bad. Ive never seen a bad site. It is however getting alot of bad publicity because of the stuff people are doing on there. We are what is bad there. We being people in general. We go on there and fill out the profiles and misrepresent ourselves to commit crimes against children or whatever it is people have decided to use it for lately but it was origionally designed to be a site where you could meet other people with the same intrest as you just like yahoo it has just been mainly kids on there and now pedifiles are taking advantage of that.

No, it's just like this world we live in, you have bad people and good. Never give out any personal info on any site! My thing is not the site, but young kids who go and meet these sick guys that they know nothing about other than a lie that was told. I use it for a pass time and not into meeting anyone just on it for fun and thats it.

If you consider walking into a room full of 89 Million people dangerous, then yes, Myspace is dangerous, but then again, so is the world. Think of it like a virtual world, same headlines, same cool people, same idiots...
When you put that many people into one place, there will be jerks there - BUT - there are also tons of wicked cool peeps there and I do a lot of business there.
Just be smart and protect your true identity.

MySpace.com is not bad, nor any other such site. The bad comes from the irresponsible people that use it for improper things. People need to be responsible for their actions. . .

no i do not think it is a bad website. i think it can be a great place to meet cool people in your area or around the world without any committment. as long as you use it wisely and dont be stupid about it. all those people that have gotten raped and what-not because of people they met on myspace its their own fault. and all those people that say they didnt know bc he created a fake ID online, geez all those people have only one pic that they stole from somewhere else. im always cautious of people with one picture or no picture at all. just be smart about what you do and you'll be fine.

Well let me say this.........Myspace yes i feel it's bad. I did sign up myself but i can honestlly say i don't go there and have not been there for such a long time......My son likes it but i don't..........You find too much trash on it and i don't aprove of it myself.........I am so agains the gay stuff because i am into the bible and that is an abomination too the Lord..........Don't get me wrong I am not judging because that is up too GOD too not me........Also they have been on tv lately because of a minor being i believe raped from an adult and she is a minor........So i would say it really aint good to be on myspace........Thank you !!!

its a good website to meet friends to chat w/ but the only reason its dangerous is because girls are posing almost nude so of course they're in danger but other than that they've made it so that they will delete the sites that show pictures of nude or close to nude pictures so its not really that bad of a wesite.
