I've used St. Ives for years, since 1985. When I get out of the shower in the morning, I wash my face with it, then follow it up with Noxema, then do the same before I go to bed. My skin has always been decent looking. Maybe you should try the Noxema as well? To me, either the St. Ives or the Noxema alone just isn't enough.
Also, at certain times of the month you might be more prone to acne due to hormonal fluctuations, that could be why you don't think that the St. Ives is working anymore.
Last but not least, putting the lightly beaten yolk of an egg on your face, letting it dry slightly, then washing it off, will help. There's gobs of vitamin A in the yolk that will help your skin. Do it once a day. Sounds gross, but it really does help! Good luck, and don't despair!

Your hormones may have changed. If your skin is too oily, and your skin is breaking out, you might look to go on Yasmin, a birth control pill that clears the skin, and reduces oil production by blocking some testosterone. Perhaps you need a more effective scrub. Try the Clear and Clean line by Johnson and Johnson. The St. Yves brand is good for regular dermabrasion, but really not formulated for acne troubled skin.

I alternate between a few different cleansers. Also, acne pads help a little. OXY, or clearasil brands. Facial scrubs with abrasives are just way to hard on your skin. Lots of water. Watch what you eat. Too much citrus and too much sugar can cause breakouts. Stress can cause breakouts. Go to your local health club or pool or whatever, and use the steam room or sauna. That helps get rid of some skin toxins. If your a teenager, hormonal changes can cause acne as well. The doctor can also prescribe something for acne.

if you are too dilligent about scrubbing the skins natural oils it will work harder to make more. You should always switch cleansers every 6-8 weeks. Try a none abrasive one next time. Just don't be too harsh on your skin. You'll regret it later if you have scarring.
phisoderm is a good one, or the neutrogena products too.
