If you keep it clean with peroxide it shouldn't get infected!!!!!!!!!!!!If it does take the back off, (but do not take the ear ring out)
clean it good with peroxide,,, then but the back,,, back on!!!!!!!!!!
When I got mine done I did not use the stuff they gave me!!!!!!!!!
I only used peroxide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone is telling you to take it out,,, but if you do, it will only get sorer or you won't be able to get it back in and will have to let it grow shut and start over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This rarely happens as long as you turn the stud and clean it with rubbing alcohol. If an infection does occur, take out the stud and allow to heal. Infections usually occur when piercings are done in places like the belly button, tragus, tops of ears..you'll be OK..

#1 Piercing spelled correctly is a first.
If you get a piercing anywhere that gets infected you will need to remove the jewel. Clean area with antibacterial soap and water allow to dry well, leave open to air. Apply topical antibiotic ointment. If you develop a fever and have drainage consult your MD who will tell you not to let just anyone pierce you and put you on an oral antibiotic. Don't be so eager for piercings. As a nurse I have seen many nasty infections.

how do you know its going to get infected? also you may not be using the right earings. some people have sensitive ears and can only wear silver or gold. try to find out that.

It should heal up. Keep it clean, and like they said twisted. If it continues despite keeping it clean and twisted, it may be a place where a piercing would not be tolerated, and you need to have it removed and let it heal over.

Take it out, or what I used to do is dip the earring in neosporin and put it back in your ear. make sure you twist the earring daily with clean hands only. this should work if not take it out. your ears maynot be able to handel it.

you will have to treat the infection. Keep it very clean and this won't likely happen.
