No, It was a very popular hit song from the 70's by the Five Man Electrical Band. I remember when it came out, it was one of my favorite songs, and I really enjoyed it when Tesla covered it!

No, the original was done by THE FIVE MAN ELECTRICAL BAND in 1971 and reached the 24th spot on the year end US Billboard charts for that year. In 1991 it made the 73rd spot on the year end Billboard Charts for Tesla.
