it isn't no more expensive than the midwest you can buy a new 3 bedroom ranch 5 mile off strip for about $200,000 but the elecric bills can be as high as $30 a month..it also depends on what you are willing to do for a job...vegas is the fastest growing city in the U.S. there are alot of construction jobs out there but it is hard , hot and hot work/

It's hot and dry and hella windy sometimes. It's a city that never sleeps. It's got beauty and its got slums-slums you don't ever want to be caught in - cuz the cops won't even go in there! It's just about as expensive as anywhere else...maybe a little more for entertainment and shows. The people drive fricken nuts there, and there is ONE mountain and it has NO water on or around it, which is kinda weird, because you expect to see mountain streams or rivers. On the plus side, no dust mites live there!

Its really hot there, so try not to go during an especially hot summer. The prices are ok if you live in a cheaper hotel, but four-star hotels will be expensive, so if you are not filthy rich and have kids or is a kid, try going to Circus Circus.

do you mean the strip, or the areas around it??
because there are houses outside of the hotel/casino areas....
I have an aunt who live in a house in the residential area of Las Vegas, and she pays less than we do here in S. California...

Very and then you get used to the expensiveness and can't live without it. My cousins live out there and it kinda messed them up. I mean I love them to death, but they were to young to be raised out there. Just be smart if you do move out there. I do know it is very fun to visit, I totally recomend visiting out there if you don't move out there. GOOD LUCK!
