When people that you care about do not get along it makes your parties a very stressful time. You don't want to hurt anyones feelings , but you know that if you invite everyone that they will just fight and ruin the whole event. My mom's mom and my dad's mom do not get along and my side of the family does not get along with my husbands side of the family. I want my daughter's birthdays to be a happy time , so what I do is have several different parties. I try to do everything as cheap as possible, like using the decorations over at each party and keeping the food cheap like hot dogs and chips and things like that. I know how stressful this is for you. I really do. I start freaking out about a month or two ahead of time. I hope this will help you. Happy Birthday ! Good luck !

I had the same problem for my 12th birthday. All of my friends had their own little groups and I had no Idea who to invite because I didn't want them fighting. In the end I decided that It was MY birthday and that if were really my friends than they could get along for a couple of hours. So I invited all MY best friends and it actually went well. Some of my friends actually made friends with some of my other friends and though they kind of stayed in groups we did alot of things as a group so that brought everyone together and it was a blast. Just invite people who YOU want to invite and they will just have to get along because they are your friends.

I had this same problem when I had a bunch of tickets to a concert. I invited just the friends that I knew would get along, because some of them hated each other. Then the other friends ended up getting tickets of their own and wanted to drive together. I was all freaked out. Everyone ended up driving their own vehicles and while I was freaking out, people had put their past differences behind them and shook hands like friends and got along. So I worried for nothing.

Yeah....it should be all about you. It's your day! Looks like it is your first party..so invite all your friends....have fun. The day might change your outlook and perceptions entirely...the best part would be that at the end of the day you will truly know who your good friends are..having done that...The next party you do, you will know exactly who are the ones to be invited and it will be the group of people you cherish and that my friend ; would be one hell of a party! SO DONT WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT IT...HAVE FUN ALL THE WAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I am a bit older than you but in the past I had many groups of friends who led very different lifestyles, were of many different socio-economic groups, etc. That year I decided to give myself my own party and invited them all. It was really amazing- out of that party several people (who were the unlikeliest to hook up) made lasting friends! And I had the enjoyment watching how everyone related. As long as YOU treat everyone with kindness and respect your guests will probably follow suit.Have a Happy Birthday! And remember they all have one thing in common-YOU!

in a nice way tell your mom that it is your party and since people don't get alone, let her know that you donut want to have a disagreement with no body that day because it is a very special day for you, in that case you can gave a party dinner at home and invite the neighbors over.
good luck whit the party, and i certainly hope that you get to have a party.

I think you should invite everyone that you would like to be there and if people dont get along they should at least respect that its YOUR party & put their problems aside for that one night. I mean, c'mon, lets act like ADULTS!!!

maybe just have a small party with a few of your closest friends over for a sleep over or go out to dinner. just like 3 or 4 friends. don't go crazy with a huge party.
