I actually was a district manager at a theater. Did you know that theaters make NO money at all from the box office; When you but a ticket at the door they get no profit. That is why the popcorn, soda, and everything else, is so expensive. It is just a way to compensate. However, I do agree that the prices are to high. Where I am from, a box of milk duds would run you about 3.25 a box. We could have sold those for .30 and still made a profit. So I completely encourage everyone to sneak thing in:)

I sneak in big box candy that they sell for way too much at the theater... but the best was when I snuck in popcorn and a 2 liter of Dew... good times

I take the same kind of licorice that they sell, so I don't get caught. I bring a 20 oz drink and then buy a small drink and pour it into the cup, so it does not look suspicious. We have saved our popcorn bags and put popcorn into baggies and then poured it into the old bag. Hot dogs wrapped in foil and then use their condiments. Wal-Mart sells several kinds of big boxes of candy that they also sell at the movies for a lot less.

i usually stuff any type of candy that i happen to have around the house into my purse. and i always manage to sneak in a bottle of water cuz its like 3 dollars at the movies

My husband has smuggled a six pack of beer into the theater before...I was so mad. It was "Freddy vs Jason" so it's not like he missed anything I guess. I've brought in Subway.

Sodas and diet tea, candy and gum because I can purchase much cheaper for the children outside the theatre.

I don't have to sneak, I usually have a date that can afford to buy me some popcorn or candy or pop if I want it.
