It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what to do. And your parents are where? When do they come in the picture?...when the animal's dead?!
Hey, LAUGHINITOFF, it's not shame on him, it's shame on his parents!

First of all another pet is out of the question. You need to show your parents how irresponsible your brother is. I am not implying that the current guinea pig has to die but every time you feed/ water/ clean the guinea pig you need to point it out to your parents. You should also tell your parents that you don't want to have to worry about a second animal because you are having a hard enough time dealing with your little brothers. People should never buy a pet on impulse, nor should they get one just to appease their children. I would seriously have a heart to heart talk with everyone in your family. The pet is part of the family and it doesn't sound to me like everyone in your house See's it that way. You have a big responsibility but putting your foot down is in the best interest for everyone involved, even the guinea pig. Good Luck!

This IS a very serious problem. Guinea Pigs digestive system is set up alot differently from humans and most other animals. They HAVE to eat CONSTANTLY...to stay healthy. Your brother is causeing harm to a living creature...Take it away from him, tell your parents, and have them take it back to the pet shop you got it from. Like noted before they will probably be able to adopt it out for free...to some one that can and will hopefully take better care of it. If your parents don't seem to care, then take it your self when no one else is home, I'm sure you have a friend to help you. SAVE A LIFE!

When customers purchase pets from our store, we tell them if a child is not responsible and they cannot find someone else to care for the animal, to bring it back and we will adopt it out to another person for free. Be cautious about donating to some individuals or pet shops that sell large snakes because they may feed the guinea pig to a snake. The other option is to donate to the Humane Society. They usually screen individuals that are adopting pets. Good Luck to you.

Do like me, take the animal from him. My sister has a puppy that she just had to have! The love and attention lasted like a week and it was back to paying him no mind. I took him from her and now he's mine. I try to play with him regardless of how bad she dirties up my clothes or scratches my arms up. He's only a puppy and he's really playful and needs attention. Your brother doesn't need a new guinea pig. Tell your parents whats going on and try to prevent them from letting your bro get another one. If you're not interested in keeping him, try to find him a good home. If I wasn't packed with animals now, I'd take him :)

Cook the guinea pig and feed it to him the next time your parents are away. Maybe mix it in with some hamburger helper. After he eats it, tell him the recipe. My guess is that he will not want another one.

BEFORE YOUR BROTHER GETS ANOTHER GUINEA PIG, HE NEEDS TO LEARN TO BE MORE RESPONSIBLE WITH THE ONE HE HAS. I OWNED TWO GUINEA PIGS, THEY CAN BE A LOT OF WORK. IF HE'S NOT FEEDING THE ONE HE'S GOT AND NOT TAKING PROPER CARE OF IT, IT'S BEST THAT HE GIVES IT A BETTER HOME TO SOMEONE THAT WILL BE MORE CARING.

Tell your brother to look after his guinea pig already!
If he gets another one he might treat it the same.
Hmmmmm....
this is a hard question.
I would say that you should tell him to look after that guinea pig and if that guinea pig dies get another one!

Talk to your parents and explain that it is their responsibilit to take care of the "Pig" if your brother won't and tell you brother if he does that again that you'll call the spca on him.I have a guinea too and it would be torture and neglect not to feed him.Shame on your brother.

You need to talk to your parents. If he can't take care of one, what in the world does he think he can take care of two? If he can't take care of it, it should be given to someone who can. He can have another pet when he shows responsibility for the one he has, but when he messes that up, they can be given back to the pet store or adopted by a more responsible person.
