A blog is a web page made up of usually short, frequently updated posts that are arranged chronologically — like a what's new page or a journal. The content and purposes of blogs varies greatly — from links and commentary about other web sites, to news about a company/person/idea, to diaries, photos, poetry, mini-essays, project updates, even fiction.

A place you can create an online diary however many people use them for other things. I use mine (several of them) to promote my favorite causes, hunger and poverty. They are easy to use and pretty flexible. Some allow you to upload or put in the embedding code for audio and visual presentations etc....Blogger, by google actually gives you a phone number you can call and you leave your message and the next thing you know it is on your blog within a couple of minutes. Nice if you are in a hurry but want to make sure you post something you think might be important. Do a "blog" search and you will be amazed at the topics that come up.

well a few years ago I would have told you it was a really huge air filled thing that floated on water that we use to jump on and send other people into the water heck it use to be really fun when we were kids. But now a blog is a place where you can let everyone on the internet what is going on in your life. It is almost like a message board but the person in control of it is the person who makes it. You write what ever you want to talk about and then everyone you know leaves comments or doesnt based on what they think about what you say. I use one of mine to act as my own little newspaper column I use it to keep things interesting and lively with my friends. But then my other one I use just to tell my friends what is going on in my life now that we arent close to each other.

A blog is a weB LOG, in other words, and internet-based personal journal of sorts that is meant to be shared with others. Some are interesting and unique, others are just a waste of broadband.
