For the last 6 years I've played with the same women's softball team, it's fun but not as competitive as I'd like. Plus, of course, it's all women. (except the umpires whom are all old and/or married) Or should I hook up with a new, co-ed team? Team loyalty or new co-ed team with possibility of more competitive play AND meeting single guys? Thanks for your feedback!

i'd say go for something new. it sounds like you might already have your mind made up about trying the co-ed route. you can still stay friends or catch games of your old team and start a whole new thing w/the new co-ed team. go for it girl! you can do anything!

Coed teams aren't really as competitive as you think, and to be totally honest with you, the girls often are treated like second rate citizens who have to be put up with, and too often get the blame for any losses. I have seen this trend in too many coed sports. Then there is the competition for the guys and the glares you get from their girlfriends...I think you should lead your all girls team to a championship. the all girls league should prove to be more competitive. Any way you could do both? That way you could see the coed league for yourself and still have your "real" team.

both!, more softball is better! But, if you can't do that, I enjoy the competition.
