I think its simply there stereotype... But it all started back in the 1800's in the Wild west I believe... You see back then if you were stupid, or dumb, they would say "you been out in the sun too long"? I am sure you have heard that before... anyways, to them, blondes seemed to be out in the sun too long... Maybe it was the color, I guess they thought that the sun had scorched their hair yellow, or something like that... At least that is what I have heard.
Also the blondes have been stereotyped in entertainment since the birth of radio and television. But believe me, blondes aren't dumb.

I think that some people has just heard it so much that it's just
becoming a saying but i'm blonde and i graduated college so
that goes to show you blondes are not as stupid as alot of
people think.

Maybe because they don't spell out "why" or "are"???? If you are trying to dispute a stereotype, this definitely wasn't the best way to do so.
In answer to the question....Educated, openminded people don't believe that all blonds are stupid. :)

It is a stereotype people put on them, Most people do not believe it. I think that most blondes just go along with it and act dumb. But most of them are not really.

because old steretypes take a while to die. i'm blonde and i'm smart. i went to high school, college and now i have a great job. i wouldn't say i'm stupid, nor other blondes. some brunnettes are dumb... some redheads are dumb... i don't think hair color determines a person's intelligence.

because they think because blondes like me have light hair for a reason because they think that we are light headed meaning we don't have a brain. but i think they make fun of us blondes because of insecurity
