possibilites is that you don't have that spesific codec
usually avi (divx) codec is not preinstalled in you computer try installing divx player.
another issue is the .ac3, .ogg (vobris) files have the same issue like the .avi files try installing matroska pack

you probably don't have the right codec for the video. This happens a lot of times with avi files of different versions. Try to download divX drivers. Good luck

Search and download VLC Mediaplayer.
It Works for every movie file type.
No codecs for downloading.

You are probably missing the codec. If it is an AVI file, try the XviD codec.

Get a program called G-Spot. It will diagnose problems like this.

more then likely ya need to update winamp or try even windows media player and see what happens i have a bunch of avi movies i have downloaded that only wma will play both a/v

you are missing the codecs
either download the required codecs or use a media player that has all the codecs built in.
