Set boundaries. Tell him you love him and need his trust. Let him know that people don't always agree. I don't like fighting either. Ask him what he went through that makes him feel the way he does. I went through some hell and that affected my views on it. You just have to establish good communication skills. Get a good understanding of each others feelings. If the two of you can not communicate with one another then there is a big problem. Relationships are based off of communication weither its fighting or talking.
Maybe the two of you need a break apart from one another.
Some guys don't want to be the one to break things up because then they would be the bad guy in the situation.
So sit back and take a serious look at your relationship and weigh your options and what you are willing to do with your life.
You can't make him change and if you are considering this as a life long relationship , ask yourself if you can live like this forever.

Everyone argues at some point or another. If you all shared all the same opinions it would be a really boring relationship. Explain that to him. If he doesn't believe you ask to talk to a trusted friendd

Why do you fight. That is miserable. Sounds like you are codependent which is not a healthy relationship. Read up on codependency on the internet.

,yes you can help him by telling him to grow up...there isn't a couple out there who doesn't have arguments/fights. We don't live in a perfect world, no-one is perfect. As humans we make mistakes which at times causes arguments.

Go to a couples counselor. Sounds like the guy is just using this excuse to break up.
