The upper bar on the Texas state flag is white, not red. The red is the lower bar. Remember that the vertical blue band in the hoist (flagpole side), which has the star in it, extends all the way from top to bottom. Try Googling the oficial state website (it should end in <.tx.gov> for confirmation.
