Did you notice that the polls of Iraqi citizens who are hopeful about their future is about 80%. Why do you think this is not in the media (CBS, BBC, ABC)? Why aren't we shouting this from the rooftops?

The "poll" most often cited around here is that 80% would like to see us leave Iraq (iraqi citizens). Mind you that poll was asked in a way to generate that answer. I would like to know more about the poll saying 80% of the country are optimistic, but it doesn't suprise me as 75% of the country is living in relative peace...the problems are in a few areas.

If Iraqi citizens where part of the trade embargo , then im sure we would, the only thing the media likes to protray is how President Bush is killing the troops. I dont feel as though the war has anything to do with Iraqi citizens, it has more to do with the rich mans greed.

Oh, I see you must frequent FOX News...If you think FOX is "fair and balanced" then you must not be familiar with the political affiliations of Rupert Murdoch who owns FOX News. He is a long-time supporter of the Republican Party, was a personal friend to Ronald Reagan, supported Margaret Thatcher in England, and also strongly supported George W. Bush in both 2000 and 2004. So, if you think that is a recipe for neutrality, then give me your email because I have a few things I'd like to sell you!

In general, the news does not report anything positive. Good positive stuff simply is not news, it's boring. Company X opens a new building and employs 100 workers...ZZzzzzz. Evil company X murder death kill and fires 100 people...people watch.
The big media wants Iraq to be negative, so that is all the report.

Because it's ambiguous. A person in the worst circumstances is usually hopeful about the future. Happy people of all walks of life are hopeful about the future. This "poll" doesn't say anything.

because the liberal media wants Bush to look bad, so they're filming all the death and destruction, and not filming the many good things that are going on there. this is because they want a democrat in the white house, and will do anything to get one there.
