People seem clueless when it comes to if they like or love someone. They don't seem to be confused when it comes to what food. music or auto they love. Or their love for their pet. If your dog chews your best sandals before your big Mexican hiliday with the girls, you don't hate the dog. If the dog got into yout candy box and ruined that great anniversary evening with your g/f. You don't hate the dog. If your favorite food KOed you with food poisoning the day of the big concert. You'd eat it again.
So why is it people can not tell the difference from lust and love? They may seem similar but upon closer inspection love is to silk what lust is to satin. You know you are in love if you fully surrender your heart to whom you love. If you have to be cold and wet that they would be dry and warm, you do it. To see them fed you will go hungry. If you have to sacrifice the body that they might avoid pain or injury, you do it. And you do not ask for their love back as a condition that you give yours. You will forgive any and all transgressions. Doesn't mean you have to be a door mat but you do not start hating them because they kissed another girl or she went skinny dipping with the ex. And even in the worst of it, you stand by your mate. Just like Donna Reeves did Christopher. The loss of limbs, freedom, mobility does not shake you from that person's side. You can not imagine not being with them the same way you can not imagine being without your right leg. If you feel that way about them, and they about you. That is love. Anything else is imitation, call it a super lust episode

Love is not a feeling it is a actions. Infatuation is the feeling some what like a drug. True love is doing and being for the person of your affection. You also know it is love when you cannot imagine spending the rest of your life without this person. Their needs may come before your own. Love asks not for you to change yourself for this person but to change to become a better person.

When you meet that special someone and you realize that you would hate to spend even one day without that person in your life. When the thoughts of not seeing them on a daily basis seems like torture to you. When you would rather spend your time with that one person more than with anyone else. They hold your heart, your hopes and your dreams because you loved them enough to tell them what they are. When a lifetime just doesn't seem long enough than You are in love, and I should know I have been in love for 37 years and that is the way we feel.

First of all if you have to ask then its not. But love is without knowing. Its giving someone your all and not even knowing why. Love is going that extra mile to see that person happy. And love without a doubt is unconditional and its not seasonal. If you love me today please dont turn around tomorrow and say you changed your mind, because baby thats not love thats like.

I know its love when that person is on my mind 24-7. When you are going to see that person and your still excited to see them no matter if its 1 mnth, 1 year or 10 years. When throughout the day, you just want to call that person just so you can hear their voice and just say hello or I LOVE YOU. As corny as it sounds but that's love to me.

you have never had a feeling like this one,and butterflies are in your belly and he's the type to say i love you just out of the blue.and you 2 have known each other for awhile and when you are doing something he can just walk past and distract you and you like it.he makes you feel so important.this is how you know that you are in love

there is no such thing as love you think you are in love but then that person hurts you or you lose everything trying to be with the person you think you love you give everything you have to that person and what are you left with nothing and you are all alone waiting for the "one" so you can do it all over again. so how do you know if hes the one....................HES NOT!!!!

how do you know when your in love? you'll just know it and feel it. if you want more explaination. when you can't stop thinking about that person every second. when you know that if they left earth you wouldn't be able to live without them. i know that there's more but i just can't think of them.
