Why can't the world unite for the good of the people?

I would say that there are some countries in the world who would not live peaceably with others, but I truly believe it is just a selfish few (compared to the rest of the world) who really do not want to live peaceably with the rest of the world. Somehow some of these people get into leadership positions. If we all work together through our differences, focus on what is similarly important to us all then we can have something to work toward that would be mutually beneficial. The beginnings of peace.

The world as a whole has nothing to work for. There is rampant apathy, and that creates a void that is filled only by a lust for power, either over one person or one million. People don't really care about anything anymore. When the world has something that everyone is truly willing to work for, then we will have "peace." Unfortunately, only world-wide disasters and wars are what can "bring us together."

Due to the simple reason that the question of the world uniting for the good of the people is to be attained by the people only who fall within the category of human, which in nits basis nature is driven by the selfishness. Nothing to contain or arrest this basic instint had been invented so far, notwithstanding the fact that several saints, hermits and social reformers had taken birth and lived their lives fully attributing to thsi cause, but of no avail fully to the root cause. Let's be hopeful of changing the situation!

Because that would make some groups of people unemployed and miserable. Soldiers, weapons dealers, some religious leaders, politicians, and the odd talk show host. Miserable unemployed people tend to make trouble, so that's why the world's not as united as it should be.

people in the world (especially america) are all about power..and with power comes wealth...you cant live peacefully and still have power over millions...its just those greedy people out there that are stopping us

Everyone here is competing against each other!! They want to be the "Superiors" that means if they have to kill innocent ppl. they will. So i dont really know.
