Anyone here from Terre Haute,Indiana. I was born and raised there, went to Purdue and now live in Clayton,Indiana. What do you like or hate about Terre Haute???

My family left Terre Haute in 1980, when I was 9, and I ended up back here in 2001 after finishing school. What do I like about Terre Haute? It's taken me a while to adjust from previously being in a big city in the Deep South (Birmingham, Alabama), but I really appreciate the friendships I've made here, especially through my church.
What do I not like about Terre Haute? Too many people here seem to have a deeply ingrained inferiority complex that they refuse to get rid of no matter how many good things happen. I've been trying for the past five years to figure it out, but it's still a mystery to me. I hope that I can just keep doing my best to be a friend to everyone and hope that it will be contagious and make an impact in the Haute.

I'm not from terre haute, but a few significant things happend there. The last christmas i spent with one of my cousins was at an ihop in terre haute, i learned how to drive in the middle of the night through major construction on the way to princeton, might seem little to some people but important to me

My husband lived there when he was yong. We went there many times while we were dating. Hate the smell! That factory sure does stink. Love Demo Derby when it came to town. It was cheap fun for a young couple.
