it doesnt matter where the music comes from that you want to put on your ipod, but in order to get the songs into the ipod you have to load the songs into itunes. even if you buy the CD and rip them to your computer you still have to put the songs into itunes before u can put them on your ipod. but other legal sites to get music are www.launch.com (offiliated with yahoo) or you can get a music sharing service for a fee such as www.raphsody.com, www.limewire.com, www.napster.com. to find other ways to get music legally go to www.download.com and there will be a link there for a music and it all has user reviews with comments and stuff like that
