I wrap in wax paper, then in a Freezer grade ziploc. I suck the air out (sometimes with a straw). I want one of those foodsavers.

You might want to check your freezer door seal and make sure it's clean and touching all the way round so that your freezer isn't constantly working to keep temperature.

Super wrap your food. Air on the food causes the freezer burn. Wrap stuff in plastic and then in aluminum foil and then in freezer bags with all the air pressed out. Also, if you are saving food in plastic containers, and they are not full, put plastic wrap over the top of the food and press it onto the food to lock out the air.

how many months are you leaving the meat there?
meat has a freezer life (beef is about 3 months)

stop using your freezer to keep your beer cold
the more often you open the door, the more moisture get's in,
the more the meat get's damaged

the freezer should be set at 0/-1Celsius or 32 Fahrenheit

maybe your freezer temperature gauge is borken, check that, dont know any solution, could try vacuum-sealing your foods, need a really tiny vacuum, or there are some food-grade appliances available, may be expensive. I think I've seen ads for Glad Freezer "ziploc"-like bags, dont know how well they work, or do a robert rainford, and try to get as much air out as you yourself can when you store your foods.
