Yes, I wouldn't want someone to not clap for my kids if the performance they put on was bad. They are kids, they need engorgement. You never know they might get better. If at first you don't succeed try, try again.

Yes - if I am preforming in anything, and I screw up, it would be hard if no one clapped. They know if they suck or not - they don't need the audience reminding them of it!

Sometimes...depends on who is on stage. It might be someone you know and love (relative, friend). If you love someone it is easy to clap for them.

i still cheer even if the performamce wasnt good. maybe the people that are performing will get pumped up and get better during the course of the show.

yes, because even if it was bad, at least they were brave enough to get up there and do it. and anyways at least they tried and did their best. I think they they deserve an applause.

Yes, it would be truely rude not to .......And if you did bad on something , you would want applause , because it would let you know that mistakes are forgiven and that you still deserve respect or something .....
