Definitely. Most Balinese are Hindu and extremely friendly to everyone.

Make sure you check out the underwater world of Bali as well - diving there is a blast.

Yes it is. I was there by myself in 1999 and it was an absolutely magical experience. Just make sure that you get away from Denpasar (if that is where you are flying in.) You can either stay in Ubud, which is considered the "cultural center" of Bali or in the beach areas. Kuta is really populated with travellers and surfers from all over the world, if you like being surrounded by people, or you could go to a quieter area like Jimbaran Beach. To be honest, the only time I felt even slightly unsafe was when I was around drunken partiers (Westerners)....or the aggressive monkeys.

Just practice standard safety precautions and common sense and you'll be fine.

Been a lone traveler have it's risk. Especially, female travelling in a native country. Those have travelled there alone giving good comment about travelling alone and never encounter any problems, lucky them. Think about the 1%
Find a partner. Never assume a hindu or reglious country will be very safe. There tends to have black sheeps everywhere.

If you insist to travel alone. Please avoid dark lanes or consume drinks when your away.. (toilet)
