Joe Montana
You could pour boiling water down his throat hand he'd pee ice cubes.
He was money.

Well I say Brett Favre. In fact, even Terry Bradshaw says "Brett Favre." However when I use my head, Brett Favre has to be second to Johnny Unitas because of the era Unitas played in.
Marino - Favre will break most of his records this year and would break them all if he played next year.
Montana - Favre's stats blow him away. He does have a lot of championships, however also had Jerry Rice and Roger Craig. Let's see Montana win 'em with Antonio Freeman.
Elway - Favre has his records surpassed except wins, which could fall this year with nine wins.
Young - Not the best QB in Niner history.
Favre is fearless. He'll get in the face of ANY player in the game. His passion for the game out does all. He looked for every reason to retire this year but couldn't. The only QB I've ever seen throw the ball 80 yards on a three-step drop. Remember the Thanksgiving game against the Lions a couple years back when he had the broken thumb. The guy threw a 70 yard Hail Mary with a broken friggin thumb! He never misses a game, what is more important than that? You pay a player to be there every week, he is always there.

It is and will always be John Elway. He is a winner and has incrediable stats. He has the most wins in NFL history as a QB and that is what they are paid to do....WIN. Brett Farve may be close, but he wont surpass him this year. He gets lucky alot of the times. Elway has 2 Super Bowls to Farves one. Montana was a great QB with many rings, but didnt have the stats. Marino has amazing stats but no rings.
1.Elway
2.Montana
3.Farve
4.Marino

Joe Montana, and I'll tell you why. When Brett Farve, who is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, (& I'm a Bears fan), was asked what he learned from other quarterbacks, & Joe Montana's name came up, he said nothing, because Joe read the field so smoothly that Brett knew he could never do it like Joe did.

I think in the long run it will be Payton Manning, but up to now it's Joe Montana -- a professional Superbowl and collegiate National Champ with Notre Dame.
