Make a grateful list and look at it daily....help someone else. Get out of yourself and stay busy doing something to better the world in any small way. Call out to God AND HE WILL COMFORT YOU. "COME TO ME ALL THAT ARE WEARY AND HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST." This is what he promised and ask us to do and he will not forsake anyone that asks no matter what!! If you suffer depression take more omega'3"s in your diet...wild salmon etc. Also, exercise really lifts the mood if you can do that. Eat organic food and free range meats...only organic produce etc. Pesticides and hormones in other food can depress the mind and change the hormone balance. You are special and loved by many and just keep your focus on your blessings and stay around positive people!! Be Well

Remember that the past is just that. THE PAST. I have many, many reasons that I should be hanging from a tree somewhere right now, but I'm not. Without writing a novel I will say that positive thinking has really changed me. I'm not sure how old you are so don't want to get "too deep" but I'm 37 and I feel like I have the world at my feet! And if you knew me you'd probably be saying "are you crazy? why in the world would you think that?" But I feel that way. I choose to be happy. Everyday I wake up I decide this is the first day of the rest of my life and I'm the only one who can make myself happy. Also, if you have children you need to remember that you cannot truly make them happy if you yourself are not happy. Repeating positive phrases out loud has been proven to work on staying positive. I have started doing this and I do believe it. Also, if you feel really bad you may need to see a doctor. There are lots of great meds out there that can help with depression. I could go on and on but I won't. If you like you can send me a message through this forum though. Oh yeah, have you heard of Wayne Dyer? Well, he has alot of good videos and books. "The Miracle Mindset" teaches you how to rid yourself of doubt and negativity, attaining inner peace and so forth. O.K. I've babbled enough. Hope I helped somewhat

Troubles will always find you, be they big or small. Being prepared for trouble is the best way around them.
How to be happy? Define happiness for yourself and then seek it.
For me, happiness is the absence of frustration. Contentment is being ok with the level of frustration I have.
If you are not happy, and want a quick jump start, make yourself start to sing a happy song, an upbeat song with happy lyrics. That always helps me.

It feels like you're an introvert, and there is no longer something incorrect with that! once you're chuffed once you're on my own, this is fantastic. distinct each individual is introverts. If it upsets you that you do not have acquaintances, inspect why you do not. per chance you're afraid to talk or be pleasant to others first, and they take that as you being stuck up. per chance you in straight forward words do not enable others see your personality. enable your preserve down, make eye contact with human beings, smile, say "hi". body language can talk louder than words each from time to time. human beings favor to be round others they'd get excitement from being with. Do come for the length of as a contented individual? do not problem a lot--each from time to time a million desirable chum is extra efficient than one hundred shallow acquaintances that do not comprehend the real you. good success!

1.who you are,
2.what makes you special,
3.what you can offer the world that no one else can,
4.find your life path,
5.follow it,
6.stay on it without wavering & in doing so,
7.honor your Creator & celebrate his faith in making you,
then life is empty of answers. you need that information to make
the best life choices (that in turn, serve you best.).
8.find your unique talents & abilities. ( it is no
accident/coincidence that you have them & most others don't.)
you will have purpose & fulfillment.
9.stay on your path, then, you will always be in happiness & feel

If you are that unhappy see a counciler----you might be depressed----it happens to the best of us-----
more on your question-----if you didn't have the dissapointments/bad things in life----you really wouldn't appriciate the small things would you?
Be happy with life that you have----there are others less lucky---

counseling is not a bad idea if you aren't happy, but stay away from drama and the little things in everyday life can help out so much... like the sun... and flowers, i sound gay, but i'm serious, apprieciating nature has always helped me with stress.
