Roger Federer's racquet of choice is almost the same as what pete sampras used? wilson pro staff 6.0 but roger's has a bigger head of 5 sq. in. (90). and strung at 57 lbs. compared to sampras' 70lbs? honestly, did you know that?
Also, did you know how much i have always wanted to have that same type of racquet, only to find out that its not in production anymore...??

I actually did know that. I spoke with Pete Sampras' personal racket stringer. I met him actually on the tennis warehouse message boards. I think his discussions can still be found in the archives. As for Roger Federer's racket the European N-code six / one with leather grip is very close in specs to his racket. Federer I am fairly certain has a custom handle put on his rackets. Also if you look at the specs between the n-code six / one 95 and the old Wilson prostaff 6.0 with the 95 square inch head you will see their weight and swing weight is virtually identical. You can do a comparison at tennis Warehouse.com I know an actual used Pete Sampras racket complete with gut strings can be purchased for about $800...a little pricey if you ask me, but Federers' racket I have never handled or know anyone that has one. However before Federer used the n-code six / one he did use the exact model racket as Sampras the Wilson Prostaff 6.0 85 I think heard he was stringing that one at around 62 lbs at the time. the actual tension lb's is slightly off because his racket tension was always measured in kilograms which was around 27kg or something.
