Hey I lived in Florida my whole life,
Disney World in Orlando is a must for any age really. Little Kids love it, big kids love it. Disney World has different parks and I think the two that are best for little kids is magic kingdom and animal kingdom. Whats good is to get a two day pass so you can go to both parks in two days. NEVER try to go to two different parks in one day... it never works lol.
They have a lot of fun stuff in Kissimmee (right next to orlando) like petting farms, fun places to eat ect.
Try looking for hotels that are kid friendly. They are the best in Florida and usually kids eat and stay free.
Yeah but if you have any places you arent sure about email me at okiedokiesarah@yahoo.com. I know about EVERYTHING there lol. I love florida. we moved to texas about 3 years ago and I just miss florida so so so much.
ediitt// I totally forgot the beach! Yeah daytona is good and so is melbourne (its about 30 minutes away from orlando) but any beach you go to is not very far from where you are. i would reccomend scuba diving in the keys because it is totally awesome, but with a toddler it wouldnt work. maybe when she gets older. i did that in the crystal river which is more north and saw manatees and swam with them. best thing ive ever done. florida is really great.!

In Florida in general there are great beached like Clearwater, South Beach, Daytona, and more but there are also great theme parks like Disney and Universal in Orlando. For a toddler I would recommend Disney especially Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. There are tons of rides at Magic Kingdom that toddlers can go on and they can even meet all the characters and Animal Kingdom has a great safari where they can see lions and zebras and all kinds of wildlife. There's also Busch Gardens in Tampa which goes for an African feel similar to Animal Kingdom but not the same scale.

Personally I like the Orlando/Kissimmee area the best, not just because I have family there. But some of the resorts are really great for the kids. Disney is great to go but with a toddler sometimes the walking can get to be too much. I really like just going to Sea World - my daughter who is now 12 yrs - loved it at 2 as much as she loves it now. The park is smaller, easier to get around and take a break, food is cheaper, and what kid doesn't like animals, especially Shamu the whale.....
Check out http://www.shamu.com/ or even http://www.seaworld.org/index.asp
If all else fails head straight to a Beach or 4 hours on over to Tampa for Busch Gardens....... But honestly there is so much to do, if I knew which area you were heading to I could be more specific....
Orlando area also has Gatorland, Old Towne, Water Parks, air boat rental rides, I could go on and on......

We take our two, who are 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 to sea world. They love it. Also if you stay in Kissimmi, there is a McDonalds with a huge indoor playground. If you come to the Tampa area, Busch gardens is great too. It has several areas just for small children and it has lots of animals and even an underground aquarium.

Disney World!!! My family is obsessed with Disney World, my daughter asks us everyday..can we go to Disney world? Toon town is especially for toddlers, even has donald's boat...a great big, cartoon looking boat that they can climb all over and get wet courtesy of the sprinklers. and they have a kiddie roller coaster..Goofy's barnstormer...that my daughter LOVES! Universal was a waste of time in my book...we didn't take our daughter with us..and good thing, cause I think I saw one ride she could have gotten on. If you like roller coasters, it's fine..but, it wasn't worth the money. Seaworld is great too. Kids love the fish and feeding the dolphins. And my daughter loves to stop and play in their sprinklers in the afternoon for a break. And if you buy your tickets online, more than 7 days in advance, you get adult tickets at kids prices.
