Cut your losses get a DS Lite

To be honest? You could get it repaired... but unless it was an actual defect with the PSP and not something like you dropped it or someone else stepped on it or something like that, your warranty won't cover it and you're going to have to shell out at a minimum $150 to get the LCD replaced. I'd have to say not only are you better off just getting a new unit, but you're also better off getting a Nintendo DS or DS Lite simply because it's going to stand up to more than Sony's PSP could (and load times are going to be faster since it's not going from a UMD which, in my opinion, was the worst idea Sony could have come up with when it comes to what to store games on.).

Sony will not replace it because it is cosmetic damage and if you were to have a repair store fix it you would spend as much to fix it as to buy a new one. Sorry if this doesn't help you any.
