The best tip I can give is to take care of your skin. The makeup does horrible things to a girl's face. I'd get her a bottle of Dove Foaming Cleanser and teach her how to properly cleanse and moisturize her face.
I'd also suggest focusing on the lips and not overdoing the eyes. A little sweep of a soft pink on the lids and a little brown mascara will open up the eyes. Use a little deeper pink tint on the lips and the face is beautiful.
Girls who let their natural beauty show through look much more beautiful than those who wear too much makeup to hide their natural beauty.

don't overdo it with to much. If you have a blemish you should just get a concealer to cover that area. Don't smother your face with foundation. I would stick to 'less is more". I always think any girl will look great with a little concealer (only if necessary), neutral eyeshadow (because sometimes eyelids tend to be a bit darker. To lighten them up use a natural color), a peachy or rose colored blush (it will give a glow to your cheeks), mascara (in a lighter shade try brown), and a little lip gloss. Those few tricks will give you a healthy glow without over doing it. However i don't think at the ages of 12-14 girls should really be wearing makeup because it can mess up your skin. If you wanna wear some try lip glosses. They're fun to have and look cute.

I think that the maturity between those ages (especially between 12 and 16) is so different that the tips would be way different. Except for the constant "keep it natural." That's not a tip for just this age group though. Everybody should be as natural as possibly. I don't see any reason a 12 year old should be wearing makeup. Most people don't hit puberty at 12 so wearing coverup and foundation is ridiculous.

Stick to tinted moisturiser until your skin is a little older, and just a little mascara. Depends on the occasion, maybe a bit of eyeshadow but look natural. The best advise is to clease, tone and moisturise and get into the habit. Never leave your make up on over night and never share a mascara this can cause eye infections.

Well,
It depends on the occasion
School- Stick with some brown eyeliner, mascara, and a light eyeshadow or none at all. Then some powder, foundation, or whatever you use.
Going out on a friday night or out to dinner-
Who cares your young, your beautiful you gotta live it up.
Wear some dark brown or black eyeliner (not way to much like dont be all goth)
Then put on some mascara
Then some fun bright eyeshadows
Your face makeup
and some bronzer
Youll be hott <3

Go easy. You don't have to wear makeup you know. Nobody is a makeup pro when they first start wearing it. About a year later you will find what you like best and learn all the tricks that work best for you. Covergirl actually has instructions on their packages. That helps. Magazines like teen and ym also have good tips.

Less is always More. Keep it fresh looking. Stay away from dark eye liner and over lined lips and penciled eyebrows, and heavy foundation (causes their skin to break out even more). The clown look went out in the 80's. The natrual look is soo much prettier on young faces. Big Long lashes, glossy lips, and peachy blush is plenty enough =)

eye make up depends on your eye color and if you have blue eyes then i would recommend that you lean towards the pinks but the lights only and if you have dark green eyes then go with the browns and darker colors but also add some glitter which really brings out your eye color and the trick is the less you put on the better it looks and try to make it look as natural as possible and don't be afraid to experience new colors. a little blush. but mainly my point is just a little make up is all you need. enhance your good features and then that will bring less attention to your bad features such as acne etc.

Let's see:
1. Less is always more. The point of wearing make-up is to look like you're NOT wearing make-up. If applied properly, make-up will be nearly undectable, giving the impression that your skin is naturally flawless and glowing.
2. Find make-up that complements your skin tone...it will look better and far more natural.
3. Invest in good make-up. Again, it will look much better, apply more naturally and is less likely to have an adverse reaction to your skin.
4. Don't forget make-up removal. You need to take good care of your skin with regular cleansing and moisturizing.

first tip.only use when you really needed, otherwise by 21 you would look 10 or more years older than your real age. Also, if you use it, remove it everynight or you will get acne problems.
Go to a department store and ask which color goes best for your skin color and type. With this in mind, your face wont look darker than your neck, etc. And more important than anything, do not overdo it, man are simple and like women to look nice but natural.
