Take the baby to a chiropracter. This has worked wonders for a lot of my friends. My son had colic for the fist 9 months of his life and barely slept an hour at a time. I finally heard about mylacan drops and this helped it a little but not all the way. If I would have known then that a chiropracter could have helped I would have used that remedy.

Colic usually resolves at about three months ( the longest three months of your life) . We found two remedies that helped. One was a small tablet that we purchased at a health food store. The other thing that helped our son was the wind up swing on fast speed or swinging him in our arms. It is very hard to cope with as you are already tired yourself and the colic only makes things worse. Our son cried for as much as five hours straight. One day I realized that he hadn't cried for about three hours and then of course I started crying, I was so relieved. Also, don't be afraid to ask friends to take over for a bit so you can get some relief. Run the vacuum if you need to! Good luck.

It can be caused by your formula. If you have not already tried it, you may want to look in to soy.. Both my babies where sensitive to cow milk based formula and it took a few weeks to figure out what was causing the problem. You can also try Myaclon drops for gas and give a belly message by rubbing the infants tummy in a hand over hand motion clock wise. This will help move any gas bubbles out. You can use lotion or baby oil.. babies love that! You can also cradle you tot on its belly laying across you arm and gently swing him back and forth. (his head should be up near your elbow similar to holding a foot ball) Hope this helps..

I used to run the vacuum cleaner and have the baby sitting/laying in the same room. For some reason this really does work. With one I used the vacuum and the other I used the gas drop you can get at any drugstore. Vacuum worked the best though. And it doesn't cost anything, You get a clean house at the same time, regardless of the time of night.

when my oldest had colic, i would run the vacuum, put him on the washing machine while it was running, take him for a drive in the car, hold him against my belly kind of firm because the pressure on his belly and the bouncing motion would sooth him. the dr. put him on a formula called nutramagin and that helped alot. this was 8 years ago and i had to use it again for my 4 year old, he too had colic, it works though.

Try holding the baby upright against your shoulder and bouncing yourself. That usually helped my son when he was tiny, also make sure the baby is calm during feeding time and not crying because it makes him swallow air which can irritate colic. Be sure to burp him a lot

My sister had 2 colic babies. I worried for her because her little boy would cry on and on. I think there really is nothing you can do to help except wait it out. My sister rocked, and wrapped her babies. She took them for car rides. She fed them a little bit of peppermint in their bottles and warmed their milk. She gave them mylicon drops for gas and the crying went on and on. Finally, it just finally quit. I think it is related to emotional maturity in the baby. I babysat for her one afternoon and the baby who by the way is now 21 yrs old cried for 3 hours, it went on and on the whole time she was gone.
Just make sure you take time away from your crying baby. Don't get overly stressed out because the baby can take its vibes from you. Just know you are blessed to have your precious little bundle and it wont last forever.

There is a gas medicine that u can buy over the counter just for babies/ children. This helps alot.
It also helps to hold ur child against ur chest in the fetal position. Which is putting pressure on their belly and that will help to releave the gas.
Some babies just dont get how to, well.... fart! this teaches them to do so.
hope that this info helps u in any way.
good luck!

I had a colicky baby. I would move her legs in a bicycle motion, then rub her tummy a bit, then push her knees up into her chest (firmly but gently ofcourse). This usually released a LOT of gas from her.
I would also hold her across my arm it seemed to help. Hang in there..it's tough!
Oh and gas drops!!! You can give them at every feeding if you need to. You can get generic...they work just as well. I used the Equate brand (Wal-Mart).
