of a slave who was freed and had to live through the slavery days and watch her family members be abused by the slave owners and she lived to tell her story and how she survive all the turmoil involving the slavery days, and the way the black people was treated even after being freed, she was the first black lady to drink out of the fountain of youth. she was a very strong lady for all the stuff she had to live through

i have been trying to buy this movie for the longest since it is a very good educational movie. it will make you see how mean slave owners were.

When it comes to history in film I like to be factually accurate. all too often it's "inspired" by real events or the history is a backdrop for a twee little fictional love story. I'd choose "A bridge too far" - it very well made, it has an all-star cast and it's a fascinating piece of history.
