Ahh, candida. I've had my bouts with that. My allergist put me on what was called a "candida yeast free" diet. You can look more up on it at google.com also.

Basically, it was just a diet taking out all those things that cause the candida to grow in your body. Sugar, breads, pastas, mushrooms, anything made with mould (cheese), most fruits. The idea was to starve out the candida and let it die down.

What happens is that the body's natural balance can gotten of track and this has allowed the candida to over grow. Acidopholus pills can be taken that will replenish the "good" bateria in the body. They can be found at most health food and vitamin stores. Also, your good old standard of yogurt, but make sure it says that the culture is "live active culture" or you get none of the good bacteria this way.

Ask your doctor about this too. There are pills to help ease up the growth these days if it's a big problem. I know for those that keep having vaginal infections due to yeast, there is Nystatin. I'm sure there are others by now too.

Yogurt. Internally and externally (if you can think of it as a medication not a food). It has to be the plain (unsweetened kind - no fruit added).

The added benefit of yogurt externally is that if you are breastfeeding, then the babe gets it too - because the babe may have gotten it from you and is giving it back.

I am on a modified "The Yeast Syndrome" diet by John Trowbridge, M.D., with Candida Cleanse supplements supplied by my health food store lady (kinda expensive). I am 6 months + and it is still not gone yet (I have cheated on the diet now and again). One of the beneficial side effects of the diet is that I am finally losing weight (hard to do when you are a diabetic).

For spots or major breakouts externally (especially as the weather heats up) I use clotrimazole cream (generic OTC) and Zeasorb AF powder.

Not familiar with breast thrush, but candida I can write volumes on. I suggest you check out www.gutsolutions.com regarding how to naturally get rid of candida. It is difficult if you don't follow the program, but once you do, it is great.

Are you itchy too if your girlfriends caught it from you you'll know about it cos you will be. It's a yeast infection and it can flare up sometimes if ladies wear tight fitting clothes down there you might not be to blame so don't worry. A good natural remedy is natural yoghurt applied to the affected area on a male or a female it soothes the inflammation. Canesten cream is good but pesseries are best for ladies to use. hope this helps.

Diet - cut back on sugar and cut out yeasty products (beer, mushrooms, tofu etc.)
Drugs - clotrimazole topically applied to the affected area. It sounds easier than it is! Have a look at "The Yeast Conneciton" by Dr. Crook. it is one othe better books I have seen on this topic!

get an antifungal cream or powder from you doctor. also, a test for diabetes would be a good idea. breaking out under your breasts due to fungal growth is often a sign of undiagnosed diabetes.
