Most of the people are right- please think hard on what you are doing... i know you may think it's the best thing, but every one of my friends who have had one have regretted it- not just consciously, but subconsciously through nightmares- not even right after, but years later, one of my friends kept having dreams about her lost baby. Another friend hemorrhaged, almost to death!
And I'm sorry, if you still really need to do it, I don't know the answer to your question about how much, and also, I hope the father is planning on contributing his fair share.
