it's not worth the risk to the life and health of yourself and others... people are injured or killed every year trying to set off fireworks. leave it to the pros, almost every place in the US has a local display you can see for miles around.

Metals burn different colors. Magnesium is bright white. Other metals burn green, purple, orange, etc.
