I GUESS SO YOU COULD HEAR THE MUSIC!!! (I DON'T REALLY KNOW---THAT'S THE ONLY THING I OULD COME UP WITH!!!!)

My guess is you have a newer TV. Sometimes the music is set to be at the right level based on a little older technology... the newer sets, with all their high-tech audio capabilities, tend to amplify the music beyond what was intended. Not much you can do about it, but over time as the newer sets become more the norm the industry will correct this problem.

To manipulate the audience into feeling a certain way.
Music is powerful emotional force.
And in my opinion this is clearly a misuse of its power.

The directors & producers want to grab the audiences attention, especially when there is no dialogue. Excellent Question!!

They make do it so the veiwers will get scared.
But if any of you work with movies, here's a suggestion :don't do it that loud, you don't wanna pop their !@##$ out
