I am ALWAYS getting a hard time from the police in the small town that i grew up in, can you help me?

I am looking for a website that will tell me the rights i have in traffic stop. Not just my 4th amendment right, but what i should say in any number of situations. I always think that i am up to speed about what they can get away with and am always getting taken advantage of. what are my RIGHTS? can i tell them to blow me? do i have to take a breathalizer? at what point can they pull out the pepper spray ? can they bother my passenger? do i have to cooperate with them if i am not under arrest? these are just a few questions that pop into mind, mostly im just looking for the name of a website that will tell me everything. I wish i could just hand the cop a printout from the net and not have to say anything. there has to be some rights left for the american citezen in this country these days or are the cops in my little town right............I just have to bend over and take the harrassment, theres nothing i can do.

First off. You can always plead the fifth amendment. Then again...you should really just cooperate. If you haven't done anything before...why in the hell are they after you in the first place? see what i mean? Your rights are that they have to have a LIABLE and PROVABLE objection in order to stop you over. Of course you can always go to court and argue the fact ( nicely always does it. nice and polite ) No I don't advise you to blow them...because then you can be charged with Local Official Assualt -- which can lead you into more trouble. you can refuse to take a breathalizer...but you can also ask them to do the simple "on field tests" Count from 80 to 60. They may ask you to SAY the alphabet...and you can be the greatest and Say : I was taught to sing and sing the alphabet. Stand on one foot touch your nose and close your eyes or walk a straight line. If you can do all that...you don't HAVE to take a breathalizer. They only have the right to pull pepper spray when and if you become aggressive and their lives are put at "risk". Now adays they use taser guns though. So you better comply. And again you don't HAVE TO COOPERATE WITH THEM...but isn't it nice to give them the respect they deserve? afterall they are doing their jobs. Its just nice and walks you away from any other problems to be polite. If you need anything. just email or IM me. same address for both. In general. Don't do stupid things. stay calm. and do as they ask. and don't whine.

WOW, you sound like you got the ticket coming. If you get stopped # 1 don't give the cops a hard time. YOU don't have to say anything. But if they ask a question UNLESS it is in regards to a crime you don't have to answer it. THEY DO have the right to ask specific questions and yes, this does include your passenger/s. BUT if you haven't done anything wrong why would you be hiding anything. You don't have to allow them to search your car. Pepper spray, again WOW, they can use pepper spray as a form of control if you get out of line with them and don't do as your told. Usually things are physical when they use the spray. Harrassment? Don't give them a reason. But you sound like you got an attitude already, so you most likely won't listen. BUT, what the heck, tell the cops as you put it "BLOW ME" I'd like to hear what happens.

I'm no lawyer, just a citizen.and maybe I watch cops too much(love that show)But if you have the smallest of an attitude, while they are doing their job, you can make matters worse.Swallow your pride and say yes sir, no sir....and don't talk back, or let them hear you gripe, and it will be over b/4 you know it....It wouldn't even hurt you to say,"sorry officer, I'm having a bad day"He will not be so hard on you then
