Does anyone here think that modern Rap artists are totally fake?

Don't they seem like they are just playing up an image, and they aren't really as "killa" as they say they are? Just like Marylin Manson plays up the bad boy image but he really aint cool. Can anyone freakin agree?

honestly, i think rap is one of the worst gernes ever invented........ I think it has the most meaningful songs, but when you think about it, it's not music............ I think real music has good vocals and what not, but all rap is just fast talking to a good beat....

Not really some are but for other... you can't stereo type rappers or rap styles because some are wack. Rappers like 50 cent can be real you might just not believe because you don't think that something that outrages can happen when it is possible. And what about Tupac? can you say that he was not a Gangster type of rapper? or do you believe that he is a FAKE gangster? when his movie songs, most everything is true. not really. Some are and some arent. For example of a fake, 50 cent. Getting shot nine times...pish...BS! but others who rap about religion and for example, Kanye West's Diamonds From Sierra Leonne is a great one to listen too and especially with the music video. Some are, others aren't. It all depends on their personal experinces.

Sort of, some of them are very good, but the others lack substance and if you really anaylize it most of the songs are no good, It's the way the busness is, let the audience think you are a cold hearted ganster make alot of money off of them and discard them like garbage.

I think that people know that these guys arent killers and arent really interested in that. I know I am not. I get tired of hearing about killing and how many bitches they got, and what car they are driving or whatever. I dont want them to play up an image, but rather rap about something substantive.

Yeah from time to time there will be fake artist. I just hate to hear how tough these guys are then when approached they go and make a record about it. Lets admit it thought most music artist are phoney rap to rock.
