They did play dirty against the Netherland, however, the Netherlands also played dirty against them. In fact, on the whole, it was the dirtiest came of the tournament (so far), both literally and metaphorically. Yes, Luis Figo did headbut a player and not get called. Later a Dutch player shoved Figo down hard from behind, while the play was dead, in front of the ref, and did not receive a red card. In their group games, Portugal didn't play any dirtier than England. I am rooting for Portugal, but they are certianly the underdog. Both teams are very talented, so hopefully there will be good, clean football from both sides and an exciting match. May the best team win.

Portugal was not dirtier than the Netherlands - it was a tough, very aggressive game that the officials let get out of hand. As a result many of their players are going into the game against England with yellow cards. I expect they will be somewhat apprehensive about being too aggressive for fear of getting more yellow followed by red cards. Personally, in some ways I would like to see the players records swept clean for all teams as they advance so the threat of being kicked out of the game wouldn't hinder their performance. Going in with a yellow effects not just the player but marks them as a target for the other team to try to set up to get kicked out. That just makes the game dirty. I want to see everybody give the game their 100% unhindered best.

Portugal did no dirty tricks. The referee in that game was simply crazy, and he started giving yellow cards like a madman. In case you don't know it, 20 yellow cards were given during that match, and at the end the portuguese team got way more damage than they should.
I am not sure if most people heard it, but after the game the FIFA president talked on TV and EVEN he admitted that he was sorry for what the referee did.

England is going to DESTROY Portugal. With how bad of a game Portugal just had the other day...England is just gonna step on them.
P.S. I'm from the U.S. so it doesn't matter to me who cares what I say anymore, our team sucked so I get to play favorites with everyone else's teams ;P
GO ARGENTINA!!!

Yes, I seen they played, even that bastard Ronaldo play dirty tricks. Poor Rooney, he didn't mean it but the referee say otherwise.
In this match, those referee think they're kings out there and do w/e they want, but they know nothin', slow-watcher, I tell you that.
I wish Brazil or someone give them a lesson or somethin'.
