it is everything that you said. the way that America was set up made it so that it could last through the times with only slight changes. if you look at the constitution you can see that they have only made clarifications with all of the amendments but as a whole it hasn't changed for the 200+ years that it has been in place. we also offer many basic freedoms that many countries take away from people. when you think about it when this country was formed with the government and all there had to be someone behind all of the process some God like being behind it all trying to help it all form correctly and to be able to run smoothly.

First of all it is hard to believe that there are almost 300 million people living here and they are not at war with each other. Amazing! It is rich in resources, people, land, oil, seaside on both sides. There are a few things wrong. I don't like the idea of Government giving themselves raises while the minimum wage is around $5.25! This is wrong. I really don't know the economics of this but I think if they raised the minimum wage, of course there will be more money spent and therefore more revenue. I am from N>Ireland, lived here 27 yrs with husband who wants to live here. I can live most anywhere and it took me a while to get used to the USA but I do love it. Medical situation is too expensive and needs to be changed. I contributed to my Nat. Health System in N>Ireland and therefore received free medical. I personally think this is a good thing. I have experienced both systems so I know. One thing I have always wondered! How do you know they do the lab tests when you give blood or anything else? You have to trust that they are not in a hurry and just look yours over quickly and hopefully do not make a mistake. Most of the labs are charged by how many the lab assistant can do. Just a thought.

THERE IS NO UTOPIA !!
Look around the world , half of it is ruled by dictaters or religious fanatics.
North Korea can't feed it's people, but it can afford to build missiles and shoot them off.
Africa is made up of tribal states, that can't feedthemselves and every tribe hates every other tribe.
The Middle-East has been a ball of hate since the time of the Roman Empire.
Yes, you have it hard here in the states. We have the worlds fatest poor people, you can travel without a permit, you can even call the President an S.O.B. in public.
It's not the people who hate us,they're trying to get here, it's the so called leaders , who hate us. We have so much and they'd like to control it all , but can't .
Take religion , here you can worship or not as you please, we have no state religion, any beleif can even run for public office and be elected.

Well it's hated because we're considered spoiled to other poor countrys.and i'd hate to say that i agree. But i do,we are kind of spoiled compared to other countrys so that's why a whole bunch of grown ups from other countrys are complaining about this. The United States of America is loved because while we're so spoiled we're actully nice too.And we donate alot to many places.

The United States of America is a hated and loved country but nothing is wrong with its people or anything else. The lifestyle is great. Its Goverment couldn't be better!Somethings are wrong here somethings are just perfect but what's so specail, hard to answer maybe you could write a letter to the white house(i know you you think that's stupid, but I tryed and they wrote back so it does work). It may work!!

I am glad I live here and I'm proud to be an American. (But I do have many things I don't like) But I think as long as I mind my own business, live and let live, and I'm happy that I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach and can go do what I want when I want, then I really don't have any complaints. But I DO NOT want to ever fall into the legal system, that's where the real problems begin.

The USA is so special because of all those things. Unfortunately it took an event like 9/11 to remind people of that and now it seems they're forgetting again.

For your answer, people like the United States for all of those reasons plus a thousand more. The only ones who don't are extremists.
