Some good ansers in here- some not so good. Here's my advice- (I had an addiction so bad that I would spend 5-6 hours a day downloading porn and acting out).
BTW- Anyone who thinks they can answer this question in one message has never overcome a porn addiction.
I want to introduce you to the idea of 1st order changes and 2nd order changes (yes psycobabble, but it's good).
1st order canges are like bailing water out of the leaking boat, 2nd order changes are like plugging the hole.
With porn addiction some examples of 1st order changes are: Adding a porn filter or getting rid of the internet, not visiting adult bookstores, etc.
2nd order changes involve getting real about why you are attracted to porn, addressing the issues in your life that make you vulnerable to the addiction, building relationships with people, learning how to view women (or men) as people and not sex objects, etc.
If you try to control a porn addiction by only addressing the 1st order changes- you will spend the rest of your life bailing water out of the boat and sometimes you will get tired and slip and then you will beat yourself up for not reaching your goal- then you will try to block out the guilty feelings and guess what- porn works great as a sedataive for your feelings (makes you numb).
However, you cannot really get to the leak at the bottom of the boat until you start bailing out water. You have to start working hard on the first order changes- and then you can start to change the problems at the core. (You can't really learn to appreciate women in a new way if you are still feeding your brain lies about sex and women.)
My experience suggests that most people take a stab at some 1st order changes- get a few days or weeks of abstenance, and then go about business as usual and soon find themselves back in the trap.
My advice is that there is no quick fix to this problem, you can't buy a software program and make your trouble go away. You need to get ready for a long term battle, a battle that will take you into new territory- but a battle that will help you become someone so much more than you can currently imagine.
Get help from some people with experience- There are some great groups out there dedicated to this. There is power in getting help from people who have been there before. I was afraid of group therapy but I finally decided that going it alone wasn't working. I learned so much from people who had overcome it. Also- I suggest you find a thearpyst (someone who has lots of experience with porn addiction- not some generalist who doesn't understand it).
Good luck- you can overcome- it takes hard work. God Bless!

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet
1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you
can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you
from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.
2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have
similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn
site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov
3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.
4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.
5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you
need.
6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.
Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or
close the window.

Hey, this is a serious problem. I know because I've struggled in it also. It is a hard thing to get out of, but you can do it. The first thing you need to do is set your security on your computer to minimum, and have someone else set a password for it. Then check out this web site. It is a great start to help you. http://www.xxxchurch.com/

Get a life of your own away from the computer.
Get real about the porn. It's acting, editing, retakes, more editing, more acting, more editing, more retakes, more positioning of the camera, more props, more editing, blah, blah, blah. etc.
Stop guilt tripping about the porn, per se. Place the guilt where it belongs -- wasting of your time and, maybe, your money.
Admit what you like about it, call it what it is, and use it only to achieve satisfaction worthy of your time.

Simple, disconnect your internet. Got another problem? seriously change your security settings to block them out (like you would for kids) but have someone else put in the password so you don't know what it is.
Good luck

Hmmm, this sounds harsh but find another addiction. Seriously. One that is positive.
If all else fails you could try shock therapy. :)~

maybe you should start going out more. Maybe you will find someone who will help you out relieve your "stress". Hopefully slowly your addiction will go away.
