I am an american. As an american, i cannot be proud that such conditions exist on our planet. But, as an american, i can say that the remedy is in our own hands. To save this planet for future generations, i would gladly give up everything i possess. Life is the most precious gift that one could leave for his ancestors, and as an american, i can only say that i would gladly and proudly give my all to see this great planet of ours endure a permanent galactic future.

I live in Texas but I have lived in the north of England where they take care of their little patch of the planet. Many people use solar heating for their houses, they have kill switches for electricity outlets, they mostly drive fuel effiecent cars or use public transit systems.
If we took a few tips from the English then maybe this country wouldn't be helping to kill the planet so quickly.

in all honesty its not necessary to give up everything to save the planet.. our options for saving the planet already exist.. we are just too greedy and apathetic to make the changes.. did you know that if we resort to other fuel methods or even make cars run on 50 mpg (which we do have the technology) that this could stop the emissions causing global warming?

Nope Actually there isn't many real Americans out there. Most were destroyed by the white men with the discovery of Small pox and others that the Europens brought back to them. So True Americans not much :(..

It's not about giving up anything it's about modification. More recycling, less waste. More walking, less driving. More close nit communities, less urban sprawl. It is about reducing our foot print and creating a sustainable society! We don't loose anything we gain a cleaner society!
