Temperature is the most obvious one. It's cooler up in northern california while it's temperate to desert-like down here in southern california.

Culture is different too, SoCal is very heavily mexican/hispanic influenced, and in Central california it's more asian influenced.

All of California has extensive freeway systems, but Socal has a greater concentration of them and they're always packed.

I feel that Socal has a much more greater youth culture, due to the number of schools around here and the approximation to the beach. Life is a bit more fast paced, lots of business done around here. And all in all a bit more interesting than northern california if you're going by lifestyle.

A lot of native Californians I know have never been out of the state and think that everywhere else other than where they are is a bad place. I don't understand it. I've lived in several different places in CA myself, coming from Michigan and now living in Georgia. We're all people. One hood is no different that the other to me. They contain people who are surviving on this planet and dealing with or without each other. We all have needs and we all have wants. I grew up in the hood near Nine Mile and Vandyke in Warren, MI and now I'm in a rural area of Alabama near the GA border. I see nothing different. Everywhere, people are lost and oblivious, wandering around like blind mice.

southern california is (obviously) closer to the border, so there is more mexican culture the farther south you go. Northern cali is....hhm well average. I'm pretty indifferent to them both. I'm almost exactly in the middle lol so I always see "NORCAL" and "SOCAL" stickers on cars....in the same parking lot. Anyway, I think the only difference is the ethnicity of a lot of the population, and southern cali tends to have more rich people because its got the larger cities like LA

i think of actually everyone has given you a surprisingly stable account of different cities. I actual have lived in 3 of the main substantial ones: citadel well worth, austin, and houston. citadel well worth is astounding bc it could supply plenty devoid of all the frenzy of a considerable city. this is definately super for older singles and households. austin is a huge singles city and there are lots of extra human beings there than purely college young ones. in case you like the exterior i'd look into austin. houston isn't as undesirable as actually everyone says. this is an extremely diverse city, the information purely shows african individuals all the time. there are a ton of individuals although and site visitors would nicely be a nightmare each time everywhere. ordinary, a brilliant distinction is the climate. counting on the place you reside you will nicely be hit with tornadoes, hurricanes, ice storms, hail, distinctive rain, etc. additionally, the humidity would nicely be killer! cali does not have the humidity that we've, this is a much extra tropical environment. as somebody else mentioned, your money will circulate farther in north texas somewhat of austin or houston. i'd fairly advise coming to circulate to and doubtless brining a pal or 2 in case you do no longer understand human beings right here. traveling help you get a experience for each thing and because all the main substantial cities are interior 3-4 hours force of the different, you will have not have been given any issues exploring all of them interior each week or so. according to threat do a brilliant triangle of dfw to austin to san antonio to houston. existence runs in a diverse way around right here and each so often human beings have difficulty adjusting to it. particularly texans are fiercly unswerving to their communities, incredibly soccer. we embody all the backgrounds we come from and prefer to devour the food as nicely. there is often a competition taking place someplace and we are happy with our state historic previous. texas has plenty to offer even though it isnt for all and sundry. particularly think of roughly shifting and circulate to beforehand taking the plunge.

The people in southern cali are much more materialistic and base their friendships accordingly.

The people in northern cali are regular down to earth people, but very nice and friendly.

socal is warmer and more diverse. norcal, or the bay area, has cooler weather and housing becomes more expensive as you get closer to san francisco. higher up, it snows and is pretty must all forest. as you go north, california becomes less crowded.
