I am nother concerned near as much with white collar crime as I am the street thug. I even feel sorry for the corporate criminal who ends up in prison because no matter what they did they are not on the same low level at the violent street criminal as there are even different classes in the criminal element. I think a white collar criminal shouldl serve a little time in prison and have punishment such as losing their career or position whereas the violent criminal shoud be executed after trial or better yet at the scene when they are caught in the act. At least the white collar criminal used a non violent way to get a large amount of money whereas the lower class thug used a gun to steal a dollar from me.

I'd rather die from a faulty product than be raped and murdered by some low life.

I think they're both scum. Yes, I'd rather be robbed politely by Enron than at gunpoint by Mr. Thug, but in the end, the white collar criminals cause a lot more damage because they can reach so many people all at once. The street criminals get the tough sentences and the white collar criminals get the easy ones, and often get to keep a lot of their money too; but they should be punished a lot more severely, and bankrupted.

Both cause a detrimental effect to whomever is being robbed off--be it killing, stealing. Once the whit collar criminal has stolen money, he has cause heartache and loss to someone which could lead to death from thinking, and shock. The Violent criminal just does the same. Since the white collar criminal is use to cunning activities to make himself richer, he would survive in jail with his crookedness.

Corporate crims are ******* because they tend to get away scott free more of the time. If you break into a drug store and steal $300 from the cashregister, your face is blurred in a Cops clip - if you steal $3000000 - then you go through a lengthy court trial and probably end up with penalties and if you go to jail - you will most likely be bailed out. *sigh*

(p.s. can't wait for the next Moore documentary on this subject!)

Corportae criminal--the most dangerous. For example, Firestone knew they were manufacturing faulty tires years ago and caused several deaths. Martha (poor dispicable Martha) cost how many people how much which leads to depression, which leads to suicide.

How about Bush and this war? How many people are dead at his hands by indirect cause?

How about the person who knows their weight loss product can cause death, but do not disclose this fact?

How about tobacco companies? They knew a lot and still continue to kill people?

Do you want more?

How about the people who discover cars that can run 200-300 miles per gallon and end up dead, their research gone?
