vaginal bleeding can come from a rip inside you.. and it is a difference in the blood and the smell of the blood too...a women can usually tell the difference in a period and vaginal bleeding..

usually your period comes at a certain time of the month if you are regular. it usually lasts 5-7 days shorter for some. any other bleeding outside of your regular period is called spotting and should be looked into.

well your period comes once every 28 days and vaginal bleeding happens when there is trauma in the vagina.

I'm not sure but I belive it'll hurt and your period usally doesn't you should get it checked out even if it's nothing better to be safe
