Probably the B83 nuclear weapon which is about 1.2Mt.
The most powerful weapon the US has developed was the Mk-41 which is a 25Mt bomb, nearly 2000 times as large as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The Mk-41 has been retired for some time.
The most powerful weapon system currently deployed would be the Ohio class submarines which can carry 24 Trident II SLBMs, each capable of delivering up to 3.4Mt.

Multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles carrying numerous hydrogen atomic bombs (MIRV). Not a pretty sight from the wrong side. In fact, I doubt if you'ld see it for more than a millisecond before you are vaporized.

I would say US intelligence (in spite of recent bad press) is equally as powerful as the knowledge US troops have that they are on the correct side. Both of these factors share the "most powerful" slot.

Propaganda.....
Unfortunately for us, we don't wield it well. No weapon is comparable to mass, international, public support. We have every right to ensure our national interests, both for us, for the international community, but we haven't done a very good job on our propaganda. Look at Nazi Germany during WWII, they were evil, but really good at propaganda, and thereby hoodwinked an intelligent community and country into evil.

the most powerful weapon is, surprisingly, our troops; nuclear weapons aren't really useful, they're deterrents, but we'll never use them again....but if you're really itching to hear an actual weapon...do your research on the almighty TOMAHAWK missile, the finest missile in the navy arsenal....truly an awesome experience getting the opportunity to fire a dozen of those into afghanistan....oops, i mean, you didn't hear that, dang it, now i will have to kill you, that was supposed to be a secret!!!

I know we're pretty advanced in our weaponry, but I couldn't tell you how much. My father is a Persian Gulf War veteran and he's vaguely told me that we're advanced, but he was very tight-lipped about the specifics, and he's an open book
I guess to sum it up, I doubt we'll ever truly know

The finger of the US president (the commander-in-chief) has more firepower at its tip than anything.
