Probably cry but that's my style anyway. I'm sincere & emotional always. I'd be excited after that and take him/her out on the town........And then not lose contact with them again.......

Things would be akward, actually. I'd try to meet at a place that has some activity and think up some conversation before hand. Definately have some things to talk about, because it may seem really different and you guys might have a loss of things to say to one another. Being in person is a lot different than talking on the phone or via the internet. I wish you the best in your meeting with your friend. Hopefully things will pick up just where they left off.

I'd ask myself maybe why it took so long to meet up - was it the distance and money and hardships or what - other than that I cannot imagine as a real reason for a gap of 10 years.....
Well, I have a friend whom I saw shortly for two half-days only in the last 11 years... and this spring she finally visited me for a couple of days, that was great! :)
I didn't ask myself anything on this occasion... it was the distance and hardships and the money that we couldn't meet earlier... we had an amazing time together - she hasn't changed much in 11 years - she was still my friend.
What did I do?
Hugged her, gave a pair of kisses and we started talking about everything asap... as we were used to it, from before..... 2 minutes about jobs, 5 days about guys... :))

Cry and then hug her. I saw my best friend from childhood after being separated for 20yrs. It was like all time melted away and we were children again. The bond was still there. And 15 years after that reunion we're as close as two people can ever be even though we live in different states. We email, write letters, call each other and visit in person every other year or so. If you have one true friend in life like I do, count yourself blessed! I do!

Hug them, explain that I've moved 5 times in the last 10 years and I'm sorry we've lost touch but I've missed them. Hand over my contact info if they are in a hurry and encourage him/her to call and we'll meet somewhere relaxing so we can catch up.
