In New York and New Jersey, dodgeball is banned from all public schools. Other schools have decided to give the kids a break and use foam balls instead of hard rubber balls. I think banning dodgeball is a bit of an overreaction, but should it be banned or not?

We are building a nation of damn Sissy's. Life is not perfect kids must learn. Sometimes when I read about the bans it embarrasses me how we have deteriorated. Its ok to protect our kids but let them enjoy if they get some hurt its part of life.

No,it shouldn't be banned. It's good exercise, something children lack these days. When I was younger, all my family (parents, siblings, aunts, uncles & cousins) would play it together at home. So, maybe the school should give out consent forms and let the child's parents decide.

No, I dont think so. But a few over-protective parents, that raise over-sensitive children ruin it for the rest of us. A small handful complain, and now ALL kids here are deprived of a great game in school.

Heck no! It's fun, builds character ... and besides, if kids don't play dodgeball, how will they appreciate the movie?

It is a bit of an over-reaction,
BUT I think using the foam balls was a good precaution.

I think it should be banned! When my best friend and I were in the 5th grade, she fell during dodgeball, and COMPLETELY broke her ankle. There was nothing holding it together! We are now in our early 30's, and her ankle is still not right, after a dozen or so surgeries. It can be a dangerous thing.
